Superstitions!

Superstitions kick in big time especially while watching cricket! Watching the cricket match now the big finals India vs Pakistan, which so far has been the most boring out of all of India's matches in the 20-20 world cups. A group of us are watching and all of us are in our seats, constantly changing positions. Whenever a good ball or rather a ball consisting of a six four or a wide comes that position sticks until its forgotten. Then once again it begins. Constantly changing positions. 120 positions per person and there are six of us here so just imagine!

If this game is lost by India there are the following reasons:

  • My friend who has watched the match India lost and not watched all the matches that India has won is here watching this match!
  • The timing of the match, its an early match compared to the usual ones they have won.
  • I am not in bed watching it!!!
  • We are watching the match in a different room.
  • We are not watching the match surrounded by the usuals who have watched it thus far with us.
  • I have not been pretending to sleep, which I have been in the previous awesome matches.
  • It is because I was not sending sms' all throughout the match.
  • It is because I am writing instead of watching the match (Pak just got a six).
  • Perhaps the players did not play well enough??? ;-)
  • The Pakistani player played well? ??

If India win this game:

  • Its because Pakistan has never won any finals matches.
  • Its because I kept my legs and hands crossed throughout the match.
  • It is because we watched the match in a direction facing east.
  • It is because I walked out and then in (everytime I walk in, if we are batting we get a six, if we are bowling we get a wicket.)
  • It is because the team did their huddle.
  • It is because India played well.

So there you go. The very convincing reasons for either outcome! God I hope we win! Lets see how it goes! We make it happen!

I Still Know What You Watched Last Summer!

Hmmm I'm sure you all know the movie 'I Still Know What You Did Last Summer', well now this has become virtually reality.

There are boxes available which enable one to watch what someone else is watching. Of course it hasn't gotten to the levels of breaching any privacy acts yet. The person with the TV and all the great channels has to connect a "device" to their TV and the person on the other end with the receiving device has to be connected to their TV and voila they can watch ANYTHING the other person is watching.

Therefore if you have a person who watches things you enjoy, then you know what to get them for their next birthday!
